B1 – Visa On Arrival Extension (VOA)

A VOA Extension refers to the process of extending a Visa on Arrival (VOA) in Indonesia. The VOA is initially granted for a stay of up to 30 days and can be extended up to 60 days. This visa is available to nationals of certain countries upon arrival at designated entry points in Indonesia.

FYI (!) VOA and Free Visa holders cannot apply for a new Stay Permit inside the country. If you would like to stay in Indonesia more than 60 days you can get a Tourist Visit Visa 211a

Document Requirements

  • The address of your hotel/villa in Indonesia.
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months.
  • Digital photos (selfies with a plain background are also fine).
  • Airplane tickets (including a return/onward ticket).
  • The POA (Power of Attorney) which will be provided by GMS

  • Be staying in Indonesia over the period of your stay permit
  • You are prohibited from selling goods or services.
  • Comply with all visa conditions and Indonesia laws.
  • You are prohibited from receiving rewards or wages from individuals or companies in Indonesia.
  • Have sufficient living expenses while in Indonesia.

Frequently Asked Questions

To extend your visa, you’ll need to provide your fingerprints at the Immigration office, which requires you to be present in Bali. Please ensure your travel plans don’t conflict with your fingerprinting appointment by confirming the dates with us. Once that’s taken care of, if you have a clear photograph of your passport, visa, and date stamps, you can still travel within Indonesia without your passport. We suggest carrying a driver’s license if possible, and we’re happy to provide a sponsorship letter confirming that your passport is currently with immigration, giving you added peace of mind.
Once your Visa on Arrival (VOA) has reached the 60-day limit, you’ll need to plan your departure from Indonesia. Remember, the VOA cannot be converted to any other visa type unless you leave the country and re-enter.
It’s crucial to stick to the validity period of your visa to avoid any issues. If you overstay, there is a fee of 1,000,000 IDR per day. If you need help obtaining a new visa or have any questions about an overstay, don’t hesitate to contact us—we’re here to assist you.
You are prohibited from attending events as a speaker.
There’s no need to stress! If your visa has not expired at the time it is submitted to immigration for processing, you will not incur any overstay fees. We ensure that your documents are handled promptly and efficiently to minimize any potential issues.
