C22 – Internship Visa

The Internship Visa is designated for foreign nationals seeking to participate in an internship program at an Indonesian company. This visa is specifically issued to individuals who wish to enhance their skills and talents through practical experience in Indonesia. There are two categories of Internship Visas: Visa C22A and Visa C22B. Both is extendable and automatically grants you a 180 days validity upon entry into Indonesia.

FYI (!) The C22A/C22B is a Single Entry Visa, so if you leave Indonesia your visa will be cancelled.

The Difference between C22A and C22B

The Internship Visa C22A is intended for students who have received approval from their educational institution to undertake an internship in Indonesia.

Document Requirements

  • Passport that is valid for at least 6 (six) months
  • A recent color photograph.
  • Provide a personal bank statement with your name, date, and a minimum balance of USD $2000, covering the last 3 months.
  • Proof of guarantee from the guarantor
  • Internship contract or statement from government agency or private institution as the host of the internship program (provided by GMS)

Important Notes

  • Staying in Indonesia over the period of your stay permit
  • You are prohibited from selling goods or services
  • You are prohibited from continuously supervising the production activities of producers/sellers
  • You are prohibited from receiving rewards, wages, or any similar from individuals or corporations in Indonesia
  • You are prohibited from working in an employment relationship with an individual or corporation in Indonesia.
